Ever since I first saw Grease I've always been envious of Sandy's outfit that she wore for surprising Danny at the fun fair - link here - although I haven't mustered the courage to go full on  high waisted leather trousers I thought I would head in that direction and introduce bardot tops into my wardrobe. Although I feel I look too bare on their own, when paired with a statement necklace I think they look brilliant!!

About 90% of the tops in my wardrobe happen to be cropped and with winter coming I thought it was time to find some items that cover a bit more skin but instead of buying longer tops I thought it was a much better idea to just get longer sleeves instead..

TK Maxx has always been a myth to me.
Often I have heard of people discovering fashion gems within its many rails, but every trip I took myself, I left empty handed and disheartened, positive that everyone else must have insider knowledge that I wasn't let in on, but now that's changed!!

With so many shops already stocked full of A/W I'm looking for winter wardrobe inspiration to get ahead of the fashion pack and with tartan being top of my list this boxy crop stood out and my segregation from the TK Maxx know how was lifted!!

I only discovered the wonderful little company My First Wish a few weeks ago but with the quality and prices it didn't take me long to buy these.

Woo, excited over my shoes..

Having a mild love for burgundy clothes I was delighted when I realised I was lacking knitwear this colour from my wardrobe which means this fitted in seamlessly and has quickly become one of my go to pieces!!

Please ignore my chubbs foot, we have problems..

Often a key item in many of my posts I thought it was about time I showed off my new pair of printed trousers.

I've seen clashing prints throughout magazines, runways and the high street recently, but the majority have been the uniting of two separate pieces, and although I love the concept, I was undecided when it came to two clashing prints on one garment. It took some convincing but I am now sold on the idea and these trousers are my new go to when I get bored of my jeans but still want the comfort!

Divine Inspiration

These last few weeks have been crazy, parts crazy good and others crazy bad.
I had a lovely holiday in Portugal with my boyfriend (which definitely wasn't long enough) but upon my return my laptop gave up its fight and left me with only my phone basics which meant no access to blogging, but with a new laptop under my belt the blog is once again up and running and will be firing off blog posts on a more regular occasion!! :)

I've featured a skirt or two in previous posts that I've have made myself but this time with the summer season upon us and co-ords being top of my summer must haves, I thought I would take the opportunity to show off some of my clothes making skills with other garments!

Over the next few weeks I'm planning a redesign of my blog layout so if you pop by and it's all changed please let me know what you think!!

I Can Only Imagine

I love buying new pieces for my wardrobe as much as the next person, but I also believe in 'make do and mend'.
I had been hoping to find the perfect slip dress with lace trim, but much to my disappointment I failed miserably!! Never the less, I continued forward in my quest and I stumbled upon this little one. I love it dearly and have worn it many a time (including this post!), but I thought it was time for a revamp and the sewing machine was pulled out!

Zara is always my go to for show stopping pieces and as always they delivered. I can make a statement without having to say a word - literally..

Definitely not hiding from the camera..

(Black lace can be found in any good fabric or haberdashery shop)
Silver Midi Rings - Asos Marketplace

If you ever get bored with an item of your wardrobe see if you can give it a revamp before you part with it!!

Little Monsters

I love this coat, but at the same time it makes me sad..
It's from Nasty Gal, and if you haven't heard of them (you should have) they're American based which is all fine and dandy until you get hit with custom charges, which makes this coat bitter sweet as sadly it will be the last thing I buy from the company!! (I'm a part-timer after all)

If I can mix ease and style in a piece clothing I'll go for. Camisoles are my favourites as they're so easy to layer and look just as fab tucked in a skirt or trousers as out!! Palm and Hawaiian prints are non-stop this season so I couldn't help but nab this little one from Dorothy Perkins!

This outfit is my current go to when I want to look a bit more glam without looking over the top for the bars!!
