I Can Only Imagine

I love buying new pieces for my wardrobe as much as the next person, but I also believe in 'make do and mend'.
I had been hoping to find the perfect slip dress with lace trim, but much to my disappointment I failed miserably!! Never the less, I continued forward in my quest and I stumbled upon this little one. I love it dearly and have worn it many a time (including this post!), but I thought it was time for a revamp and the sewing machine was pulled out!

Zara is always my go to for show stopping pieces and as always they delivered. I can make a statement without having to say a word - literally..

Definitely not hiding from the camera..

Little Monsters

I love this coat, but at the same time it makes me sad..
It's from Nasty Gal, and if you haven't heard of them (you should have) they're American based which is all fine and dandy until you get hit with custom charges, which makes this coat bitter sweet as sadly it will be the last thing I buy from the company!! (I'm a part-timer after all)

If I can mix ease and style in a piece clothing I'll go for. Camisoles are my favourites as they're so easy to layer and look just as fab tucked in a skirt or trousers as out!! Palm and Hawaiian prints are non-stop this season so I couldn't help but nab this little one from Dorothy Perkins!

This outfit is my current go to when I want to look a bit more glam without looking over the top for the bars!!

Shells Of Silver

I whipped out my trusty Levi's for this post as discussions of my summer plans left me in a festival mood!!

These sandals have been ridiculously hard to get hold of after selling out constantly. Luckily I managed to nab myself the tan pair but I'm still hoping for the black ones to reappear!!
Fingers crossed!!

Even through much trying I failed to get both my sunglasses and my floral headband to sit on my head without looking like a muppet therefore the look is only manageable if I plan on wearing my sunglasses all day!!

Dreaming of a summer wardrobe and beaches far away..

I was lucky enough last week to be sent images of boohoo's new summer collection and therefore so are you as I get to share them!!

When I think of what I hope for from a summer wardrobe, I'm imagining bright neon's, clashes of floral's and prints, creative shapes, statement accessories and a bit of boho chic!!

And this is exactly what I found within the collection!

For the quality you're receiving boohoo is certainly purse friendly - unless you're wanting every item like me, then not so much..

When I'm planning for holidays and summer days spent at the beach, my first thought is of the bikini's I'll be wearing. Although some of the tan lines could be quite questionable, when I don't have time for sunbathing, I go for style. My personal favorite being the above right, the extra straps give a slight risque look without baring too much, perfect for anyone wanting a show stopping look on the beach.

I've always been looking for a kaftan but I've never found a print or colour that catches my eye. I always end up with plain black which is normally fine. But when I'm on holiday, I want an air of glamour to my look which I haven't been able to find, until this flash of lime caught my eye!
Definitely a piece to provoke kaftan envy!!

If you're use to layering up the accessories on a normal basis, there's no need to go bare - so to speak - for the beach. Hair accessories are so often over looked but a simple headband can be so practical yet stylish at the same time. Who can honestly say when they're at the beach running in and out of the water their hair doesn't go everywhere?!

Boho chic is prominent every summer with crochet and tassels being at the front of many collections. Its such an easy look to pull of, you get to look care free and relaxed without compromising on style. If you're not wanting to jump straight into this trend then a crochet waistcoat is one of the most versatile pieces to play with as it can be slipped over almost anything and looks fab!!

Flatform sandals are everywhere this season and they are the perfect choice for a adding a bit of extra height. If you want to avoid heels when the days are getting warmer then these are the way to go!!

This is the perfect day to night maxi dress, hitting three summer trends in one - neon bright's, print and embellishments - all you need is a quick swap of the shoes from flats to heels and you're ready to go from a day of sight seeing to a night of dancing, olé!

This outfit as a whole just excites me. A tailored two piece is top of my wish list and the fact this one is printed makes it all the better! Items like these in your wardrobe aren't just a one season love, they're perfect for brightening up a dreary winters day (let's not think about that yet).
Neon camisoles and heels again, should be a wardrobe staple, they add some extra oomph to your jeans and jacket combo.

I've never hidden the fact that I am a lover of a floral crown and this one is no exception, the hues in the flowers are absolutely gorgeous (reminds me of raspberry ripple ice cream.. nope, only me..). I've heard many people say they think they're too dressy for everyday wear but I say that you couldn't be more wrong. I wear them with tea dresses or a band tee and Levi's, give it a try and you'll wonder why you never had before!!

Thank you too boohoo for the exclusive and here's to long hot summer days and a fabulous wardrobe!!

Coming Back

I'm backkk!!
I've been under the weather the last couple of weeks but with a doctors diagnosis under my belt and enough vitamin tablets to stock a pharmacy I am back on my laptop and the blogging can begin!!

It takes quite an amount of heat for me to whip out my legs but I was more than happy to do so over the weekend when we had some laaavley weather.

I've read every tutorial there is to work out your face shape and what sunglasses suit you but I'm still none the wiser so I gave up and bought these beauties anyway as I fell in love.. if anyone knows what face shape I have then that would be fab!!

Summer/Holiday Wish List

With pay day coming and my holiday all booked, my thoughts are turning to my holiday essentials that I am ridiculously keen to lay my hands on!!

Footwear is at the front of my mind with these Lattice Sandals from Matalan leading the way, there is currently only two options with black being my favourite but a tan will be available very soon and I'm already planning on snapping those up as well!!

Always a fan of a print trouser these Topshop beauties will be mine! Although they might not be transferable to the winter seasons, my love for these means they will be whipped out the wardrobe year after year!! Throughout the winter my wardrobe stocked up on a lot of black and white items and although the print keeps them light and summery I've gone for the burgundy to make a nice change!!

I know in summer the thought of rain is the last thing everyone wants to be thinking about but lets be honest, this is England and rain is inevitable!! On a mission to find myself a light summer jacket I stumbled across this gorgeous deconstructed trench from Nasty Gal. Just enough coverage to stop me looking like a drowned rat during the summer showers and warm enough during the early summer evening without being too overpowering for the new season!!

I love flowers whether they are in vase, on my head or in this case on my top. This adorable cropped cami from Asos is the perfect summer top. I think cami's are really flattering as their shape is forgiving meaning you can hide all kinds of sins under their material!! I have so many different coloured cami's that I wear throughout the year, throw on a pair of high waisted trousers and a cardi and draft avoided!!

It's no secret that I love a statement necklace from Zara so I am afraid I couldn't resist. I also couldn't chose between two but as they are completely different i thought I would post them both for you to admire anyway!! I do love to wear delicate minimalist pieces at times but I feel statement necklaces are the perfect finishing piece for a powerful outfit!

Another classic forever styling favourite is stripes. Skirt, top or cardi I will wear them any and all which way so you can imagine I was overjoyed when this Sailor skirt from Bershka appeared on my screen. The nautical trend reamerges every summer with images of relaxing aboard a yacht, off the coast of southern france springs to mind.

I hope you've found some inspiration from my summer wishlist and tat your dreaming away the days until the British summer time truly begins! I hope the rain stays away and that you can all enjoy a wardrobe full of summer!!
